CFAC campaign last year was cancelled due to health reason. I got sick and have been going thru other means of controlling my diabetes. I’ve been going to a cronic clinic and working with the nurse to find the best way for me in controlling my blood sugar level. I’m type 2, hyperglycemic and I was diagnosed with it in 1994. With the diabetes, it’s very unpredictable. Anything you do, anything you eat will have an effect on your levels. I have to have mine lower. So I’m still looking and working at that upto now.

Also last December we moved to a new house, so I have to do a lot of packing and moving boxes to storage including my comics paraphernalia. I haven’t got the chance to even sit down on my drawing table let alone try and do something on CFAC.

As it is at the moment, I have to chase contributing artists for the CFAC campaign. As well, some of them bailed out on the last minute and haven’t even started anything on their end, so it’s tough to get someone to jump on board right away. There’s still only a couple of stories remaining in the works right now. It’s only a matter of time when they’ll get done. The lettering on some of the stories are also needed and it’s also been tough to get the letterers. Most of the ones I know are also busy working on other projects, so they put CFAC on the back burner. I’ve been also talking to a colorist who’ll do the cover and that’s the only thing that’s going right now. I’ll be able to show you the cover once it’s done. Hopefully, the book will get done soon and it would a worthwhile book for the campaign as it has lots of great heroic stories. I have a convention coming up in end of April, and it would be good to kick start the campaign again. We’ll see how it goes.
